As a savvy real estate agent, you are always looking for new ways to target customers.  Whether it is a new listing or monthly newsletter, email marketing is one of today’s hottest marketing options.  As the name implies, email marketing utilizes electronic mail to send marketing messages.  The MarketingProf.com 2004 benchmarking study states that most email marketers have two main goals.  Sixty percent state they desire to grow the relationships they have with their current customers, while 41 percent hope to gain new customers.

Not only is email marketing effective, it is a very popular component in an overall marketing program.  The MarketingProf.com survey revealed that nearly one-third of respondents (30%) devote one to five percent of their marketing budget to email marketing.  Furthermore, over three-quarters (76%) state that they expect the revenue from these campaigns to increase.
